Normal- The Lady Bulldogs lost to the Golden Lions of the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Sunday 2-1.
 
The Maroon and White fell behind in the 25^thminute after giving up a free kick goal. UAPB’s Czelene Carrera took the kick from five yards outside the 18-yard box and floated a ball passed starting keeper Linda Aboagye.
 
Falling behind did not hinder the Lady Bulldogs attack as they found an answer to the UAPB goal immediately after play resumed. A&M’s Nycole Henderson rifled a rebound shot into the Golden Lion’s net leaving the keeper no chance.
 
Assisting Henderson for her third goal of the 2012 campaign were juniors Carre Rodriguez and Hernedez Haughton.
 
A&M was able to go into half time tied 1-1.
 
The Maroon and White came out firing in the second half. A&M got off 12 total second half shots doubling their first half tally. Despite the increased offensive production, the Lady Bulldogs were unable to find the back of the net again.
 
A&M gave up a goal to Celeste Carrera in the 75^th minute to close scoring at 2-1 for the Golden Lions, sealing Sunday’s defeat.
 
The Maroon and White was unable to follow up Friday’s win against Pine Bluff, but they will try to get their second win this up coming weekend when they travel to take on both Southern University and Jackson State University.
 
A&M will play SU Friday, October 19^th and JSU on Sunday, October 21^st.
