Women’s Soccer to celebrate senior day and close out the 2012 season

Normal- The Alabama A&M women’s soccer team will play their final regular season games at home this weekend as they host conference foes, Alcorn State and Mississippi Valley State University.

Sunday’s game will be senior day, celebrating eight Lady Bulldogs.

This weekend’s games will decide the playoff positions for the women’s soccer in the Southwestern Athletic Conference’s Eastern Division. The Lady Bulldogs will be playing for a possible first place finish. A&M has not finished first in the division since the 2007 season, in which they won their second SWAC championship title.

Up first, the Maroon & White will host Alcorn State, currently 0-2 in conference play. Last season the two teams tied 1-1 in Lorman, Miss. This game will be played on Friday, October 26^th kicking off at 1:00 p.m. at Lady Bulldog field.

The final game of the regular season will hold the most importance. The Lady Bulldogs will be playing a deciding playoff position contest, and will honor their seniors who will be competing in their last game on “The Hill”.

The Maroon & White senior game will take place on Sunday, October 28^th. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.

Both games for the Lady Bulldogs will take place at Lady Bulldog field and can be followed via live stats.
