Women's soccer falls to MTSU

Murfeesborro- The Alabama A&M Lady Bulldog women’s soccer team were upset by the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State University 10-0 Friday night. Middle Tennessee leads the head to head match up against AAMU at 7-0.
 
A&M went down early after a shot by MTSU’s Paige Goeglein found the net in eighth minute of play. By the end of the first half the Lady Bulldogs tallied only one shot, while their opponent recorded 18. Freshman keeper, Marissa Oehler recorded six first half saves in her first collegiate start.
 
The Maroon and White put up a valiant effort in the second half but were unable to change the tide of the game. Despite altering their line up and increasing their shot output second half goalkeeper, Linda Aboagye only recorded four saves.
 
AAMU will be back in action on Sunday, Aug. 26th as they host Jacksonville State in their home opener beginning at 2 p.m.
 
The contest is free and open to the public while fans who can’t make it can view the game via “Live Stats”
