Soccer opens the 2013 Bulldog athletics season with three-game home stand

Normal- The time has come for the Lady Bulldog soccer team to hit the field. Friday, August 23^rd marks the start on the 2013 athletics season for AAMU.

The Maroon & White will hit the ground running as they open the 2013 campaign at home with three games in just four days.

A&M will see its first action against the Bulldogs of South Carolina State at 4:00 p.m. Friday. Last season in the battle of these Bulldogs, SC State came out victorious.

Last years' meeting in Atlanta saw the Maroon & White drop an 8-0 contest. This year the team will be looking to redeem themselves and to start the year on a positive note.

After facing SC State, A&M will play host to the Mercer University Bears. On Saturday, August 24^th, at 4 p.m. will be another rematch from last year. The Lady Bulldogs fell 6-nil in Macon, Ga. early last season, in a contest that saw them total 10 saves and two shots.

After back-to-back rematch action, the Maroon & White will have a day to rest and recover before playing the third and final game of the home stand.

Game three will be played against the Lipscomb Lady Bisons. The contest will take place on Monday, August 26^th and will kick off at 4:00 p.m.

Each of the three games will take place at Lady Bulldogs field on "The Hill" and can be followed via live stats.
