Box Score
Normal- In their third game in just four days, the Lady Bulldogs soccer team suffered another tough loss; this time by way of the Lady Bisons of Lipscomb University.
A&M came out aggressive with great intensity but still found themselves trailing three-zero after just 15-minutes of play. After going down early the team settled in. The defensive intensity and the offensive attack improved.
The Maroon & White's attacking play improved due to their increasing possession of the ball. The stringing together of consecutive passes through the middle of the field lead to A&M possessions ending in shots on goal.
Despite the increase of intensity, and possession of the ball, the Lady Bulldogs took a 5-nil deficit into the half-time break.
The second 45-minute period played out similarly to the first. After a reshuffling of the line up, things looked different for the Maroon & White. The young squad, still trying to find cohesiveness, took a step in the right direction. Seeming more comfortable in the second half, the team again increased their efficiency on both sides of the ball.
Despite the improvements, Alabama A&M could not respond with a goal of their own. The Lady Bulldogs tallied five shots with four on goal in a 10-nill defeat.
The women's soccer squad will now have a few days of rest before their next match set for Friday, August 30th at 4:00 p.m. Murray State University will serve as the fourth opponent this year for the Frank Davies squad.
The game will be played at Lady Bulldog field. Admission is free.
