Volleyball Falls To UAH, 3-2

Box Score Huntsville - The University of Alabama in Huntsville took A&M to five sets, however the defense of the Lady Bulldogs wasn't enough to hold off the Lady Chargers three games to two.

The first sets saw the Lady Chargers in complete control until the second and third match. UAH took its first lead of the game 3-0. Both teams went back and forth until A&M extended the lead to 18-13. The Maroon and White posted errors in the remaining set which allowed the Lady Chargers to cut the lead 19-16. A&M would eventually take the third set 25-17.

The fourth set saw the Lady Chargers crank up their defense to block A&M's attempts at the net. The Lady Bulldogs then loss its composure and fell in the fourth set 25-13.

The fifth and final match saw AAMU pull out to a 7-1 lead. UAH then put together an eight point run to cut into the Maroon and White's lead 11-9. Then a six point run that A&M was never able to recover from falling in a heartbreaker 15-12.

Leading the way for A&M was Kyanna Sales with a match high of 19 kills, 14 digs, and two blocks. Pacing the A&M offense was Ashley Foreman with a game high of 51 assists while Savannah Blackiston secured 18 kills. Anchoring the Maroon & White defense was Forman with 17 digs.

Up next the Lady Bulldogs will participate in the Missouri State University Tournament this weekend.
