Volleyball Prepares For Home Opener

NORMAL – Volleyball will take a break off the road to open it's first home game of the 2013 season by hosting The University of Tennessee at Martin.

The match was originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 25 but has been moved to a 7 p.m. contest on Tuesday, September 24 in Elmore Gymnasium.

The Bulldogs (0-14) are led offensively by Sophomore Kyanna Sales who has posted 90 kills in 45 games. Senior Ashley Forman has collected 352 assists averaging 7.59 per game and paces the Maroon & White defensively with 104 digs. Junior Leslie Ekpe leads the team with 28 blocks.

Last season, the volleyball team fell to Tennessee-Martin three games to one 25-22, 11-25, 14-25, and 16-25 at the Skyhawk Fieldhouse.
