Box Score NASHVILLE – Lipscomb erupted for five second-half goals and held Alabama A&M to just 2 shots on goal in a 7-0 win Sunday over the Lady Bulldogs.
It was the opening match for Alabama A&M while the Lady Bisons improve to 1-1.
Junior goalkeeper Marissa Oehler had 9 saves for the Lady Bulldogs but allowed the 7 goals, including a penalty kick for Lipscomb's first goal.
Lipscomb, which had 2 goals each from Natalia Duboise and Alesondra Colbert, scored twice in a 2:32 span late in the first half. In the second half, the Lady Bisons scored at the 61-minute, 62:31 and 68:26 marks and then again twice inside of 2:34 in the closing minutes of the match.
The Lady Bulldogs had 6 shots overall while Lipscomb fired 34 shots. Alabama A&M had 2 corner kicks to 9 for Lipscomb.
Alabama A&M returns to action Friday at Eastern Kentucky University.
