Lady Bulldogs fall at Jackson State in physical game

Box Score JACKSON, Miss. -- In a physical match Friday, Jackson State toppled the Lady Bulldogs 3-1.

There were 21 fouls called (10 fouls on A&M and 11 on JSU) and three yellow cards issued in the match - A&M's Alexus Lawson and Caroline Dyrdek each received a caution, both coming in the final eight minutes of the match.

Lauren Crosby got her first start in goal for the Lady Bulldogs, in place of injured starter Alexandra Desgagne. Crosby made three saves on six shots while A&M also had six shots on goal.

With A&M trailing 2-0, Margret Sesay scored on a pass from Estelle Esperance at the 40:51 mark of the first half. It was her third goal of the season and the third assist for Esperance.

The Lady Bulldogs return to action 1 p.m. Sunday at Southern University.
