Bulldogs come out cold in loss to Mizzou

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The Bulldogs came out ice cold Sunday night against Missouri and never warmed up in a 99-44 loss to the Tigers.

Freshman De'Ederick Petty was the lone Bulldog in double figures with 13 points. He also was A&M's leading scorer in the season opener Friday night at Missouri State. Quinterian McConico had eight rebounds.

The Bulldogs made just 16 of 60 shots from the field in the game for 27 percent and hit 1 of 13 three-point attempts. Mizzou was 35 of 56 for 62.5 percent from the field and 8 of 16 from beyond the arc.

Ariston Johnson's layup with 13:40 left in the first half was the first field goal of the game for A&M who trailed 49-20 at halftime.

The Bulldogs travel to Tennessee Tech on Thursday. The game can be heard on WJAB-FM 90.9.
