Petty scores 17, McConico gets double-double against Tennessee Tech

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- De'Ederick Petty led the Bulldogs in scoring for the third time this season but A&M lost at Tennessee Tech 95-61 Thursday.

Petty scored 17 points and Quinterian McConico had a double-double (11 points and 11 rebounds) for the Bulldogs.

Petty hit a three-pointer and Evan Wiley scored on a tip-in to give the Bulldogs an early 5-3 lead.

But the Golden Eagles went on a 10-0 run while the Bulldogs missed three layups in a span of less than two minutes early in the first half.

The Bulldogs shot just 37.7 percent from the field and Tennessee Tech hit 58.7 percent of their shots, including 10 of 21 (47.6 percent) from three-point range.

A&M, 0-3, will travel to Southern Miss on Monday. Tipoff is 7 p.m.
