Lady Bulldogs Fall to Murray State

MURRAY, Ky. --- Freshman Jameica Cobb scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds Monday night, but the Lady Bulldogs fell to Murray State 81-49.

The Lady Racers led 22-10 after the first quarter and widened the lead to 43-28 at the half.

The Lady Bulldogs came out of the intermission strong as a pair of jumpers from Cobb and Alisha Davis in the first 20 seconds of the third quarter cut the Lady Racers lead to 45-32.

Murray State then went on a 23-7 run over the remainder of the third quarter and took a 70-39 lead to take command of the game.

Hilary Williams added 13 points and two defensive rebounds. Davis led the Lady Bulldogs with seven rebounds and contributed six points.

The Lady Bulldogs return to action Nov. 17 to host North Carolina.
