Volleyball: Lady Bulldogs Fall to No. 1 Alabama State in Semifinals

Jackson, Miss. --- Senior Ashundria McNeal led the Lady Bulldogs with 15 kills, but the Alabama A&M volleyball team couldn't pull off the upset against No. 1 Alabama State in the Semifinal of the SWAC Tournament Saturday, falling in three sets.

Set Scores: 25-18, 25-14, 25-7

The Lady Bulldogs finish the season with a 13-22 overall record and finished the regular season fourth in the SWAC. The Maroon and White will lose one player to graduation this off-season. McNeal led the Lady Bulldogs this season with 512 kills and 282 digs. She finishes her career with 1419 kills and 693 digs.

Junior Riley Balsmeyer led A&M this season with 875 assists and is added 150 digs on the season.

Freshman Terra Brooks and classmate Nina Biggs both had hot starts to their A&M careers. Brooks finished her rookie season with 160 kills and Biggs contributed 182 digs for the Lady Bulldogs.

Sophomore Ttansfer Jaelin Gant ends her debut season with 161 total kills, ranked third for Alabama A&M. She ranked second for the Lady Bulldogs with 205 digs.
Junior Courtney Oliver ends the season ranked second for the Maroon and White with 164 kills.
