Trio of Bulldogs in double figures in loss at Troy

TROY, Ala. -- Freshman Tracey Burnett led a trio of Bulldogs in double-figure scoring Saturday, but A&M dropped an 88-59 decision to Troy.

Burnett scored 12 points; followed by Quinterian McConico and Rakiya Battle, who each had 10 points. McConico had a game-high eight rebounds and Battle led all players with five assists.

Burnett had the first basket of the game, spotting the Bulldogs an early 2-0 lead. But the Trojans went on a 17-2 run over the next seven minutes.

The Bulldogs shot just 28 percent from the field in the first half as Troy built a 48-24 lead at intermission.

A&M travels to Atlanta to face Georgia State on Wednesday.
