LORMAN, Miss. -- Alcorn State scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday to take a 4-3 win over the Lady Bulldogs.

A&M led 3-0 in the fifth inning when the Lady Braves scored to cut the lead to 3-1.

In the seventh, Alcorn State scored all three runs with two outs for the win.

The Lady Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning on back-to-back doubles from Viridiana Ramos and Brandi Foreman. With two outs, Sierra Smith singled to bring home Foreman for a 2-0 lead.

In the top of the fifth inning, Imani Largin led off with a single and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Kia Lang. Ramos later doubled home Largin to put the Lady Bulldogs up 3-0.

Ramos had two hits, including the double, to lead A&M.

The two teams will wrap up the series with a doublehdeader Saturday at 1 p.m.
