Lady Bulldogs Head to Alcorn State This Weekend

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 HUNTSVILLE -- The Alabama A&M softball team continue Southwestern Athletic Conference play this weekend in Lorman, MS., to face Alcorn State University. The two squads square off in a single game today at 2 p.m. and a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Lady Bulldogs have won six of its last 11 games, including a three-game series sweep at Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

A&M's Tiana Sanders is tied for the SWAC lead with eight home runs. She is batting .359 with 23 runs batted in and a .756 slugging percentage. Imani Largin leads the team with 20 runs scored and is second on the team with a .355 batting average.

On the mound, Caitlyn Hayden has appeared in 16 games and is 4-8 with a 7.70 earned run average and team-high 46 strikeouts. Sophomore Jordan Bradley follows with 15 strikeouts and has a 10.40 earned run average.

The Lady Bulldogs travel to Jacksonville State University on Thursday for a single game and then to Martin Methodist College on Monday, April 18 for a doubleheader.
