Bulldogs Men's Basketball falls to #25 Alabama on Friday Evening

TUSCALOOSA— The Alabama A&M University men's basketball team had four players in double figures; however, the Bulldogs ended up falling to host No. 25 Alabama, 104-67, Friday night.

Freshman guard Amari Goulbourne paced the Bulldogs with a career high 17 points while sophomore De'Ederick Petty added 12 points. Junior Arthur Johnson and classmate Jalen Reeder each had 10 points, respectively.

Sophomore Evan Wiley contributed eight points while Junior Andre Kennedy added six points and three rebounds.
 
The Tide opened up the game on a 10-0 run before a jumper from Goulbourne would put the Bulldogs on the board. The Bulldogs would then go on a 7-2 run to cut the deficit to six, 15-9, with 13:19 on the clock. 

However, the Tide would respond with a 26-10 run of their own for a 45-19 lead with 1:21 left in the first half. The Bulldogs went into intermission trailing 51-22.

The Bulldogs shot 43.1 percent from the field and Alabama hit 63.5 percent of their shots, including 16 of 27 (59.3 percent) from the three-point range.

A&M is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 21 when they travel to Minnesota to take on the University of Minnesota at 7 p.m.
