Alabama A&M Women's Soccer falls to Texas Southern in SWAC Quarterfinals

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas — Begona Bravo scored a pair of first-half goals as Texas Southern topped Alabama A&M 2-0 Thursday afternoon in the SWAC women's soccer tournament quarterfinals.

Texas Southern (7-7-1) advances to play in the tournament semifinals on Friday.

For Alabama A&M (5-12-1), the loss ends the Bulldogs' season.

Bravo scored both goals in the first half. The first came at the 15:05 mark on an assist from Desiree Harte, and a few minutes later, she scored again on a rebound.

Jodi Medina finished with five saves for Alabama A&M. Texas Southern had seven shots on goal, while Alabama A&M had two.
