Baseball Drops Game One to Morehead State, 5-0

HUNTSVILLE--- Alabama A&M baseball was blanked by Morehead State, 5-0, in the series-opener Friday afternoon at Bulldog Field. The loss dropped the Bulldogs to 3-2 and improved the Eagles to 3-3.

Both teams were held scoreless until the top of the seventh inning when Morehead State hit a RBI double to left center for the, 1-0, lead.

The Eagles then plated three runs in the top of the eighth inning and never looked back as MSU's David Calderon went seven innings in the win, surrendering two hits with one walk and eight strikeouts versus Alabama A&M batters.

Blaine Milam (0-2) was saddled with the loss in seven innings with seven hits, three walks and three strike outs against the Eagles lineup.
 
The Eagles outhit the Bulldogs 12-4. Wilanier Betancourt, Justin Lott, Carlton Peppers and Brandon Moore each collected a hit for AAMU.

Game two of the series is at 1 p.m. at Bulldog Field tomorrow.
