Baseball Blanked by Tennessee Tech, 17-0

HUNTSVILLE-- The Alabama A&M University baseball team (5-16) fell behind early and couldn't recover in suffering a 17-0 loss to Tennessee Tech on Wednesday afternoon.

JT O'Reel and Dalton Mitchell each had three of the Bulldogs' 10 hits, with Mitchell rapping a double. Jonathan Smith II and Carl Parker each had two hits for Alabama A&M.

Blaine Milam took the loss on the mound, as he allowed four runs (four earned) in one inning.

Tennessee Tech (5-15) took control with a four-run bottom of the first inning, and broke the game wide open with a three-run second inning. Alex Hursey pitched three innings and allowed three hits to pick up the win and complete the shutout.

Alabama A&M returns to action on Friday with a three-game series at Mississippi Valley State at 2 p.m., with contests in Itta Bena, MS.
