Volleyball Falls 3-0 against UT Martin

MACON, Ga.--– The Lady Bulldogs were dealt a 3-0 loss (14-25, 19-25, 17-25) against UT Martin on the closing day of the Mercer Bears Classic Saturday in Macon, Ga.

In the first set, the Lady Bulldogs battled tough at the beginning but fell short. The final two sets were back and forth and AAMU rallied back to keep it even. However, UT Martin then pulled away at the end of the both sets and eventually pulled off the victory.

Mikel Coleman recorded eight kills and Terra Brooks had six. Meredith Sieck led the Lady Bulldogs with 14 assists followed by Megan Evans with 11. Alana Cox had eight digs and Maci Battle added seven. Maya Evans led in blocks with five and added one service ace.

The Lady Bulldogs are on the road to Clarksville, TN on Sept. 11 to face Austin Peay University at 6 p.m.
