ITTA BENA, Miss. ^__Alabama A&M Volleyball fell to fifth seeded Alabama State for a chance to play in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship game in R.W Harrison HPER Complex.

Senior Jaelin Gant accounted for 11 kills and 15 digs for the Lady Bulldogs, however her double-double proved not enough as the team fell in four sets to the Lady Hornets by scores of 25-23, 21-25, 21-25 and 25-15.

After winning the first set, Alabama A&M saw their attack percentages fall to below .200 for the second and third sets, falling in each set. The Lady Bulldogs finished with a 53 percent attack percentage to the Hornets 64 percent for the match.

Setter Megan Evans finished with a team-high 31 assists, while Libero Maci Battle finished with another double-digit dig game with 13 total.

With the loss, Alabama A&M is eliminated from Tournament play.
