UAPB uses late run to top men's basketball

HUNTSVILLE — Martaveous McKnight scored 24 points as Arkansas-Pine Bluff topped Alabama A&M 69-60 Monday night in a Southwestern Athletic Conference men's basketball game.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff led 29-28 at halftime, but used a second-half run to pull away late.

Artavious McDyess finished with 13 points for Arkansas-Pine Bluff (9-15, 6-5 in SWAC), while Shaun Doss and Terrance Banyard each scored 11.

Jalen Reeder led Alabama A&M (5-20) with 15 points, while Andre Kennedy added 14 points with four rebounds.
