HUNTSVILLE, Ala. ^__ Head Coach Emanuel Stephens and his Lady Bulldogs have begun fall camp in preparation for the upcoming 2019 season. The team looks to continue to improve as they have for the previous two seasons with Coach Stephens at the helm. The Bulldogs return a number of key players from last year's roster as well as a large incoming freshman class.

Ayanna Gooden, Kahdian Wright-Brown, Nia Thompson, Valery Mastache-Gomez, Tehya Beadles, and Camille Nurse are the top returning point scorers from the 2018 squad. Gooden, a preseason Second Team All-SWAC Selection, finished with a career year in 2018 with a career high 12 points including four goals scored and four assists. Mastache-Gomez, Wright-Brown and Thompson each ended the season with three goals each. 

2019 Roster

The 29 student-athletes on the roster hail from four different countries (United States, Canada, England, and Spain). The biggest international contingent comes from Canada with the likes of Gooden, Khadijah Shakirof, Nurse, Gooden, Jada Ward, Chantal Williams. Delia Ebbin comes from Burmuda, Jameela Barret from London, and Rocio Grimaldi hails from Spain.

Of the 20 players that are from the United States, xx five from Florida, three are from Tennessee, four from Texas, two from California and North Carolina, and one apiece from Alabama, Georgia, Missouri and South Carolina. The Bulldogs also welcome in 12 freshmen to the squad.

2019 Schedule

Fans in Huntsville will have a total of 10 opportunities to come out and support the Bulldogs. While the Bulldogs open the season with an exhibition against UAH on August 18, the official regular season home opener for the 2019 season will be on Sunday, September 8, at Lady Bulldog Field as Alabama A&M will host the University of North Alabama for a 3 p.m. kickoff. The Bulldogs are predicted to finish seventh in the conference. The full 2019 schedule is linked above.
