Owls Top Bulldogs in Kennesaw

KENNESAW, Ga. __ The Owls scored twice in the first half and added another after the break to defeat the Alabama A&M women's soccer team 3-0 on Monday at Stadium.
 
The Bulldogs (0-3-0) struggled offensively, with only one shot on goal by freshman forward D'Essence Burnett. Defensively, Jodi Medina had ten saves in the goal as the Bulldogs fought hard but could not slow down the Owls' offense.
 
Kennesaw State (2-1-0) finished with 13 shots on goal as Kendal Baker opened up the scoring in the 17th minute. Erin Harris added another score in the 27th minute, while Danielle Vos added the third and final goal in the 53rd minute of the match.
 
Alabama A&M will now shift their focus to their two consecutive home games, including the home opener on Sunday, Sept. 8 against North Alabama at 3 p.m. and UAH on Friday, Sept. 13 with a 4 p.m. kickoff, both at Bulldog Field.
