BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Senior wide receiver Dee Anderson (Dallas, Texas) delivered a performance for the ages and has been named Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Co-Offensive Player of the Week as a result as announced by that organization on Monday, November 8.
 
A monumental factor in the Bulldogs' 42-14 victory over Mississippi Valley State, the 6-6 target hauled in seven balls for a career-high 122 yards and three touchdowns. The latter marked the third time this season he has accomplished the feat and ran his season total to 11 scores.
 
Following the week's action, Anderson sits tied atop the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) national statistical rankings, tying with Jalyn Witcher of Presbyterian, Taylor Grimes of Incarnate Word, Fordham's Fotis Kokosioulis and Xavier Gipson of Stephen F. Austin.
 
Additionally, Anderson leads the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) in touchdowns scored with his 11, a feat achieved in just seven games. That is one fewer than the second player individual with nine scores.
 
He joins graduate quarterback Aqeel Glass (St. Louis, Mo.) and senior running back Gary Quarles (Cottondale, Ala.) as Bulldogs who have earned SWAC Offensive Player of the Week honors this season. Glass earned his on September 6 with Quarles picking his up on September 20.
 
The Bulldogs and Anderson return to action on Saturday, November 13 when they travel to Houston, Texas to take on Texas Southern. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at BBVA Compass Stadium.
