Second-Ever Trip to SEC Foe Missouri Up Next For Alabama A&M Women's Basketball

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Fresh off a commanding victory, Alabama A&M (1-6, 0-0 SWAC) women's basketball faces one of their toughest challenges as they make their second trip ever to Southeastern Conference foe Missouri (8-2, 0-0 SEC) on Sunday, December 12. Game time is set for 2 p.m. in Columbia, Missouri.

A&M enters coming off a dominant 72-47 win at Samford (12/9) that featured career performances by graduate guard Nigeria Jones (Lincoln, Neb.) with a personal best 28 points and a career-high tying nine boards by sophomore guard Darian Burgin (Cincinnati, Ohio).

Missouri, meanwhile, has posted double-digit decisions in six of their eight wins, including four of those by at least 20 points. That said, the Tigers come in having dropped back-to-back games with a narrow 70-68 loss at No. 5/7 Baylor (12/4) and a 79-51 blowout loss at Missouri State (12/10) in their most recent outing.

This will be just the second meeting between the programs with the only other being a 76-54 victory by MU on December 3, 2006 in Columbia.

Fans will be able to follow all of the action with live stats and live video for the game, with the latter airing behind a paywall on SEC Network+. Full coverage of all the action will also be available on www.AAMUSports.com, the official online home of Alabama A&M Athletics, following the final horn.
