Alabama A&M Set For Rematch With No. 4 Seed Grambling at 2021 SWAC Women's Basketball Tournament

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama A&M (10-6, 8-5 SWAC) women's basketball will face a familiar foe as they enter the 2021 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Tournament as the No. 5 Seed with a matchup against No. 4 Seed Grambling (9-9, 8-6 SWAC) on Thursday, March 11. Game time is slated for 5:30 p.m. in Montgomery, Alabama.

The reason for that familiarity is that the two teams just played to close out the regular season on Saturday, March 6 with GSU pulling out a narrow 72-68 decision. The clubs will now meet in the quarterfinal round of the SWAC Tournament with the winner playing the survivor of the No. 1S Jackson State and No. 8S Mississippi Valley State game. That contest is slated for Friday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Bartow Arena.

Fans will be able to follow all of the action throughout the tournament with live stats and live video and the bracket and Tournament Central linked on www.AAMUSports.com. All games will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks with coverage available on the app shortly before tip-off.
