Alabama A&M Announces Farewell To Elmore With Doubleheader Against Samford on November 17

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – After nearly 50 years, Alabama A&M will bid farewell to Elmore Gymnasium when they play host to Samford in a men's and women's basketball doubleheader on Thursday, November 17. The women will open at 5 p.m. with the men to follow at approximately 7 p.m.

Elmore has been home to the Bulldogs since the 1973-74 season but will give way to the new, State-of-the-Art 6,000-seat Events Center later this month. Before that happens A&M wants to not only celebrate the venerable building but also those that created all the joy, tears and memories there.

To that end, all men's and women's basketball alumni who played in Elmore are encouraged to RSVP for free admission for the evening and to be part of the ceremony following the men's game. For fans it is one last chance to experience the thrills in Elmore while linking the past with the present on a memorable evening.
