Alabama A&M Women's Basketball Welcomes Samford to Elmore For Second and Final Time

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama A&M (0-2, 0-0 SWAC) women's basketball returns to Elmore Gymnasium one final time as they host Samford (0-3, 0-0 SoCon) in their final game at the venerable facility on Thursday, November 17. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
 
A&M enters following a narrow 60-55 road loss to Nicholls State (11/13) after dropping a 98-51 decision to Alabama (11/7) to open the 2022-23 campaign. The Birmingham-based Bulldogs have not been fortunate either, falling 66-62 to Troy (11/7) and at Vanderbilt (81-51 on 11/10) and Tennessee Tech (75-70 on 11/14).
 
ALL-TIME SERIES
A&M trails the all-time series 4-2 after having won the first meeting 67-55 on November 29, 2002 as part of the Jacksonville State Classic. The four subsequent contests were all played in either Birmingham or Huntsville with SU taking all four, the most recent being a 61-37 decision on December 3, 2016 at the Hanna Center. The Bulldogs got back in the win column in their last meeting, posting a dominant 72-47 victory in Birmingham on December 9, 2021.
