Alabama A&M Set To Throw Down Against Neighboring North Alabama in Midweek Tilt

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – A season removed from reaching the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Semifinals for the first time in nearly a decade, Alabama A&M (0-0, 0-0 SWAC) men's basketball looks to go further as they kickoff the 2022-23 campaign against budding rival North Alabama (1-0, 0-0 SWAC) on Thursday, November 10. That game will be the second-to-last played in Elmore Gymnasium with tip-off slated for 7 p.m.

The Bulldogs come in following a season that saw them go 12-18 overall but 10-8 in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play. That would earn them the No. 4 Seed which they would turn in to a trip the semifinals for the first time since 2014. They are coming off of a 95-79 exhibition victory over in-town NAIA foe Oakwood (11/3).

That is something the clubs have in common as UNA visits Elmore following a regular season contest against the Ambassadors. That would be a 108-51 victory on November 7.

ALL-TIME SERIES
One of the newer series on the books with the Lions being a recent addition to Division I, the teams have only met twice. The series stands at 1-1 with the Bulldogs earning a 92-80 decision in the first meeting on December 20, 2019 in Huntsville and UNA notching a 56-45 decision last year in Florence, Alabama on December 8, 2021.

MEDIA
Fans will be able to follow all of the action with live stats and live video. Additionally, full postgame coverage of all the action will be available on www.AAMUSports.com, the official online home of Alabama A&M Athletics, following the final horn.
