AAMU took an early lead in doubles as junior
German Ruiz Crespo (Mollina, Spain) and
Freddie Lawrence defeated Juan Malham Viada and Adrien Blackwell 6-2 at No. 3.
Freshman
Divesh Gahlot (Haryana, India) and junior Cheng Chang (Koahsiung, Taiwan) notched a 6-3 victory over Joseph Gonzales and Jaydn Boone at No. 2 before freshman
Vence Ntcha and senior
Rodrigo Arana Rios (Playa Del Carmen, Mexico) secured the win with a 4-3 decision over Juarez Caballero and Diego Hatem at No. 1.
A&M wasted no time in continuing their dominance during the singles as Ntcha defeated Hatem 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2, followed by Matis Torres Ramis notching a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Boone at No. 6 and Gahlot defeated Gonzales 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4 to lock up the victory.
Alabama A&M will return to the court on Saturday, March 20 to take on Belmont in Nashville, Tennessee. First serve is set for 9 a.m.
