Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Alabama A&M (2-6, 2-1 SWAC) fell by a 7-0 score at Vanderbilt (11-4, 1-3 SEC) in an NCAA Division I men's tennis match on Friday, March 18.
 
Vandy took the early lead in doubles as freshman Vence Ntcha and senior Rodrigo Arana Rios (Playa Del Carmen, Mexico) fell 6-1 against Siim Troost and Michael Ross at No. 1. Freddie Lawrence and junior German Ruiz Crespo (Mollina, Spain) were defeated by Marcus Ferreira and Joubert Klopper at No. 3.
 
After the doubles portion, the Commodores wasted no time during singles as Arana Rios fell 6-0, 6-1 to Klopper at No. 2 while Ntcha was defeated 6-2, 6-0 by George Harwell. Michael Ross delivered a 6-3, 6-0 decision against Lawrence at No. 6. Sophomore Natiphat Mulada (Korat, Thailand) rallied to win a set 6-3 before dropping two, 6-0, 10-4 against Ferreira at No. 3.
 
The most impressive performances came from freshman Divesh Gahlot (Haryana, India) who fought against Troost before falling 7-6, 7-5, 6-0 at No. 4. and Matis Torres-Ramis who battled through three sets, winning one with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 decision at No. 5.
 
Alabama A&M will return to the court on Sunday, March 20 at Belmont. First serve is set for 11 a.m.
