Divesh Gahlot (Haryana, India) and junior Cheng Chang (Koahsiung, Taiwan) fell to Sam Bajracharya and Ruan Du Preez 6-3 at No. 2 before freshman
Freddie Lawrence and junior
German Ruiz Crespo (Mollina, Spain) were defeated by a narrow 7-5 decision by Niila Magga and David Grandinot at No. 3.
After the doubles portion, ASU made their mark in singles as Matis Amier defeated Lawrence 6-4, 6-2 at No. 5 before Gahlot fell to Grandinot 6-3, 7-6 at No. 4.
Freshman
Vence Ntcha rallied to win the first set 6-3 before dropping the next two, 6-3 and 6-1 to Chris Andre at No. 1.
Alabama A&M will return to the court on Monday, March 28 as they take on North Alabama with first serve set for 1 p.m. at the Huntsville Tennis center.
