Rodrigo Arana Rios (Playa Del Carmen, Mexico) and junior Cheng Chang (Koahsiung, Taiwan) fell by a narrow 6-4 decision against J.Soria and Paul Centeno at No. 1.
Freshman
Freddie Lawrence and junior
German Ruiz Crespo (Mollina, Spain) then dropped a close 6-4 score against Richy Gamo and Francisco Vargas at No. 3 to close out doubles.
After the doubles portion, the Tigers made their mark in singles as Vargas defeated Ntcha 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 before
Matis Torres Ramis delivered a 6-1, 6-1 decision against Ikeda at No. 6. Rios fell to Paul Centeno 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1. Sophomore
Natiphat Mulada (Korat, Thailand) rallied to win 6-4, 7-5 against Soria at No. 3.
Gahlot fell 6-0 in the first set before defeating Agosto 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4. Lawrence battled through three sets, winning two with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 decision at No. 5.
Alabama A&M will return to the court tomorrow, Sunday, April 3 as they head to Auburn with first serve set for 3 p.m.
