HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama A&M women's volleyball (0-0, 0-0 SWAC) is set to open the 2022 campaign as they head to Boca Raton, Florida for three matches at the FAU Invitational from August 26-27.
That season-opening tournament will kick off with matches against host Florida Atlantic and Lehigh at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (Central), respectively, before they wrap up with Mercer bright and early at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 27.
The Bulldogs will face a pair of first-time opponents in FAU and Lehigh while the meeting with Mercer will be the first since September 7, 2018. In that one they trail 5-0 with the Bears notching 3-0 victories in that first meeting and again on September 2, 2017. The latter would actually be the back half of wins on consecutive days as MU notched a 3-1 decision on September 1, 2017 as well. They would also collect a 3-1 win on September 22, 2015 and straight sets decision on September 5, 2014.
