HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The Alabama A&M women's soccer team drew even with Jackson State on Sunday afternoon, but could not hold off the Tigers, falling 2-1 in a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) game at the Bulldog Soccer Field.
Jackson State (5-7 overall, 4-0 SWAC) struck first as Kendyl Terrell found the back of the net, as the Tigers took a 1-0 advantage in the 28th minute.
The Tigers continued to lead 1-0 until the 47th minute when an own goal tied the game at 1.
However, the Bulldogs (0-13, 0-3) could not hold on as the Tigers broke the 1-1 tie in the 68th minute with a goal by Maya-Joy Thompson, giving Jackson State the 2-1 advantage.
