HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University football team look to end the season on a positive note as the Bulldogs play host to Mississippi Valley State on Thursday night in a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) game. Kickoff against the Delta Devils is set for 6 p.m. from Louis Crews Stadium.

Alabama A&M (4-6 overall, 2-5 SWAC) will look to end a three-game losing streak after the Bulldogs surrendered 31 unanswered points in a 31-14 road loss to Bethune-Cookman last Saturday. The Bulldogs raced out to a 14-0 lead after a 19-yard touchdown pass from Quincy Casey to Cameron Young and a Xavier Lankford 2-yard run just four seconds in the second quarter. However, the Wildcats took the lead for good with 21 fourth-quarter points in picking up the home win.

Mississippi Valley State (1-9, 1-6) enters Thursday night's game riding a four-game losing skid after a 20-3 loss last Saturday against Alabama State. The Delta Devils led 3-0 with less than 10 minutes left in the opening quarter, but the Hornets struck for back-to-back touchdowns and cruised to the win. Mississippi Valley State finished with 117 total yards of offense, including 32 on the ground.

Fans can listen to the broadcast on WJAB 90.9 FM as Ted Dixie will have the call.

Alabama A&M head coach Connell Maynor said he wants the team to finish strong, not just on the football field, but in the classroom as well.

"The year flies by and every year I tell the guys at the beginning of the season that the season will fly by and it is," Maynor said. "We've got this last game of the season, then Thanksgiving break, then when you come back there's only two weeks left in the semester. I told the guys they really have to buckle down on their grades and finish out this semester strong.

"But first week have to finish this week out by playing on Thursday night. We need to get a win and get to number five on the season, 4-1 at home, and just end the season with a win on a good note."
