BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama A&M University redshirt sophomore running back
Donovan Eaglin earned multiple weekly honors on Monday after his performance against Mississippi Valley State on Thursday night.
was selected the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Eaglin garnered the FedEx Ground FCS National Offensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention honor, Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Offensive Player of the Week honor and the BOXTOROW National HBCU Player of the Week honor as he helped carry the Bulldogs to a season-ending victory over Mississippi Valley State last Thursday night. The Houston, Texas native rushed for 207 yards on 27 carries, averaging 7.7 yards per a touch. In addition, he scored on touchdown runs of 67 yards and 17 yards in the 30-21 win over the Delta Devils.
Eaglin's honor was the fourth SWAC Offensive Player of the Week accolade this season, joining
Ryan Morrow (Sept. 11),
Quincy Casey (Sept. 25) and
Xavier Lankford (Oct. 16).
Alabama A&M concluded its season at 5-6 overall and 3-5 in SWAC play.
