Kaylah Turner scored a career-high 21 points and
Alisha Wilson pulled down a career-best 10 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as the Alabama A&M University women's basketball team saw its two-game winning streak end on Sunday afternoon with a 68-45 loss at Neville Arena.
Alabama A&M (2-3) struggled offensively, shooting 26 percent from the floor. Auburn (4-2) used an 11-3 run over the final 4:40 of the opening quarter and did not look back. The Tigers put the game away by shooting 57 percent in the third quarter.
Turner, who drained nine shots from the field, scored a career-high 21 points, with four rebounds and two steals. Darin Burgin tallied 10 points, six rebounds, four steals and one assist. Wilson led the defense with 10 boards, along with six points and two steals.
Sydney Shaw led the Tigers with 15 points, two rebounds and one assist. Taylen Collins recorded a double-double of 10 points and 10 assists, along with two blocks and one steal. Savannah Scott shot a perfect 4-of-4 from the floor with eight points and three rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Auburn jumped out to a 10-4 advantage after a layup from Scott with 6:58 remaining in the opening quarter, but Alabama A&M answered, cutting the deficit to 12-8 after a couple of free throws by Wilson with 4:23 left in the period.
The Bulldogs went cold from the floor during the final four minutes as Auburn built a 21-9 advantage heading into the second quarter.
A Turner 3-pointer trimmed the margin to 24-16 with 5:55 remaining in the half, but the Tigers responded and pushed the advantage to 29-16 after free throws by McKenna Eddings with 3:38 left.
Alabama A&M continued to keep the game close as Wilson's two free throws cut the Auburn lead to 30-20 with just over two minutes left in the half.
A Shaw jumper right before the break sent the Tigers into the half with a 33-20 advantage.
Auburn opened the second half on an 11-4 run, capped by a Jamya Mingo-Young layup as the Tigers extended the lead to 44-24 with 5:52 remaining.
The Tigers took a 56-34 lead into the final period and didn't look back in picking up the home win.
