ATHENS, Ga. | Three Alabama A&M University men's basketball players reached double figures in scoring, but it wasn't enough as they fell 93-73 to Georgia on Saturday at Stegeman Coliseum.

Alabama A&M (1-12) struggled in the first half, shooting 32 percent, which helped Georgia (10-3) pull away with the victory.

Dalin Smith and
Chad Moodie both led AAMU in scoring with 14 points. Smith shot 5-of-8 from the field with two rebounds and two steals, while Moodie shot 6-of-11 from the floor along with four rebounds, two blocks, and an assist.
Cameron Tucker added 11 points, five assists, two rebounds and two steals.

Georgia's Blue Cain recorded a game-high 18 points, one rebound, one assist and one steal. RJ Melendez tallied 11 points along with six rebounds, four steals and two assists. Silas Demary Jr. chipped in 10 points with five assists, two rebounds and one steal.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Both teams got off to a slow start, but Georgia grabbed a 9-4 lead before a Tucker layup trimmed the deficit to 9-6 with 14:35 remaining in the first half.

Alabama A&M used a 5-0 run during the next two minutes to close the gap to 15-13 following a three-point play from Moodie.

Georgia slowly pushed the lead to double digits as RJ Sunahara drained a 3-pointer as UGA took a 27-15 with just over seven minutes to play.
AAMU nearly went two minutes without a field goal as Georgia built a 46-24 lead at the break.
UGA extended their lead to 60-33 following a Blue jumper with 14:39 remaining.

AAMU never got closer than 20 during the final ten minutes.
