KNOXVILLE, Ala. __ Alabama A&M baseball fell in the first of two mid-week contests against No. 3 Tennessee, 10-0, on Tuesday afternoon at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The loss is the first for the season for A&M.

The Bulldogs (3-1, 0-0 SWAC) put runners in scoring position three times, starting with
Chevalier Dorris (Raymond, Miss.) drawing a walk on a full count to start the fourth and later stealing second.

Their next chance was Dorris again, this time earning a single and advancing to third later in the inning, followed by
Tommy Easley (Acworth, Ga.) stealing third base after a single and advancing on a walk drawn by
Jared Tribett (Lumberton, Miss.).

Meanwhile, Tennessee crossed the plate for the first time with a three-run homer to left before two more times in the fifth. The Volunteers scored another pair of runs with a home run and RBI double in the sixth, followed by two more in the eighth to finish the game.

Alabama A&M was held to three hits in 25 at-bats, while drawing four walks on the day. The Bulldogs used four different pitchers on the evening with
Roman Sorrell (Beaumont, Texas) earning the start, while
Jason Marono (Miami, Fla.),
Gabe Nicholson (Collierville, Tenn.), and
Kobe Stokes (San Antonio, Texas) all came in out of the bullpen.

Jake Fitzgibbons got the win for the Volunteers, while three other pitchers all pitched for a pair of innings.

The Bulldogs will remain in Knoxville tomorrow for another game against Tennessee inside of the Lindsey Nelson Stadium. First pitch is also scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET and aired on SEC. Network+.
