HUNTSVILLE, Ala. __ In just their second home game of the season, the Alabama A&M women's tennis team dropped a midweek home match to UAB, 7-0, on Thursday afternoon in non-conference play.

The Bulldogs (4-4, 3-0 SWAC) dropped the doubles point to open the match, as the pairing of
Neha Ghare (Pune, India) and
Alicia Owegi (Nairobi, Kenya) fell at No. 3, 6-0, followed by
Jasmine Boyd (Marion, Ind.) and
Yana Dhamija (Gurugram, Ind.), who lost 6-3 at No. 1.

The match including the pair of
Camila Ruiz Diaz (Asuncion, Paraguay) and
Deja Brown (Spring Valley, Calif.) went unfinished in the second spot at 5-4.

Brown dropped the first singles game at No. 2 by a score of 6-2, 6-1, while Ghare also fell in straight sets in the fourth spot 6-0, 6-2, followed by Owegi (6-0, 6-4) and Boyd (6-2,6-4), who both fell next at No. 6 and No. 1 respectively.

The last two games to finish were the two most contested games on the day, with Ruiz Diaz dropping a three-set decision (4-6, 6-3, 10-8) and Dhamija falling in straight sets 7-5, 7-5.
