HUNTSVILLE, Ala. __ The Alabama A&M women's tennis team suffered a 7-0 shutout loss to Jacksonville State on Sunday afternoon in a home non-conference tennis match.

Deja Brown and
Camila Ruiz Diaz dropped the first pairing of the day 6-0 at the No. 2 flight, followed by another loss from
Neha Ghare and
Alicia Owegi, 6-3, at No. 3.
Jasmine Boyd and
Yana Dhamija went unfinished at 4-4 on court one.

In singles play, Ariadna Ondo Cerenzo fell on the No. 6 flight in straight sets (6-0, 6-0), followed by Ghare falllig in her matchup 6-0, 6-2.

Owegi competed on court five for singles, losing in her pairing in two close sets at 6-4, 6-4, before the lone three-set match of the day as Boyd dropped the first and third sets on No. 1 (6-1, 4-6, 10-3).

Ruiz Diaz and Dhamija played in the final two games of the match, as Ruiz Diaz fell 6-1, 7-5 at the No. 2 flight, before a 7-6, 6-4 loss from Dhamija at No. 4 to conclude play.

Alabama A&M will return to play this weekend in Montgomery with four SWAC contests starting on Thursday, march 9. The Bulldogs will face off against Mississippi Valley State, Florida A&M, Prairie View A&M, and Alcorn State over the three-day weekend.
