HUNTSVILLE, Ala. ^__ The Alabama A&M baseball team dropped a home midweek non-conference battle against Southeastern Louisiana, 14-0, on Wednesday morning at Bulldog Field.
 
Southeastern got their offense going in the first with a pair of early singles, followed by an RBI double to score both runners. The Lions added another two runs in the top of the second, despite not earning a hit in the frame.
 
Alabama A&M got a runner stranded in scoring position in the bottom of the second, as Jalen Parker singled and advanced on a walk, but was left on second as the Bulldogs ended the inning on a fly ball to center.
 
The Lions added another run in the third to gain a 5-0 lead after drawing a walk with the bases loaded. They then added another two in both the sixth and seventh before adding five in the eighth.
 
Parker and Christian Soto earned the two Bulldog hits on the day, while six different pitchers made an appearance on the mound.
 
Jason Garcia picked up the loss, starting the game and pitching 2.2 innings in the contest, allowing five runs on five hits. Gabe Nicholson worked 2.1 innings in relief, facing 11 batters and allowing two runs and just one hit. Tyler Campbell (1.1 innings), Terence Sales (1.0 innings), Brett Parker (0.1 inning), and Kobe Stokes (0.1 inning) also made appearances out of the bullpen.

The Bulldogs will return to the diamond this weekend for their final non-conference series as travel for a road matchup against Northwestern State, beginning on Friday at 6 p.m.
