HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University volleyball team fought hard through three sets, but it wasn't enough to slow down Alabama State, falling 3-0, in a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) match on Friday at the T.M. Elmore Gymnasium.
 
The Hornets (4-12 overall, 3-0 SWAC) claimed the match with scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-17.
Alabama A&M (1-15, 0-3) finished with 28 kills in 110 total attacks, 43 digs, 27 assists, and seven total blocks, which resulted in 38 total points in the contest. 
Sophomore 
Bailey Duckett led the Bulldog offense with 10 kills, while 
Mackenzie Jefferson recorded 16 assists. Defensively, Jefferson, 
Saldy Amparo-Smith and Duckett all led the digs category with seven each. 
Alabama State finished with 33 kills in 89 total attacks, 43 digs, 31 assists, and five total blocks, giving them forty points. 
Jylen Whitten led the Hornets with 11 kills, while Madison Beasley dished out 18 assists. Temperance Chatman registered 13 digs.
