NASHVILLE, Tenn. | Arnav Pathange picked up a 6-0, 6-2 victory in singles play, but it wasn't enough as the Alabama A&M University men's team dropped a hard-fought 6-1 decision to Lipscomb on Saturday afternoon at the Ensworth High School Tennis Center.
Lipscomb (1-1) won the doubles point after getting victories at No. 2 and No. 3.
The Bulldogs (0-2) fell behind 2-0 after a loss at No. 6, but pulled within one as
Arnav Pathange defeated Juan Lombisano, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 5.
Lipscomb got a win back at No. 4 as
Kai Cowcher fell in a three-set thriller to Matheus Lima, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2, and completed the victory at No. 1 as Krzystof Wetoszka defeated Vence Ntcha, 4-6, 7-6, 6-1.

Alabama A&M will take some time off before returning to action on Sunday, Feb. 11 as the Bulldogs visit Samford. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
