HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University men's basketball team returns to action on Monday night as the Bulldogs seek back-to-back wins for the first time this season with a trip to Mississippi Valley State. Tip-off for the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) game against the Delta Devils is set for 7:30 p.m. from the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex.
 
Alabama A&M (2-12 overall, 1-0 SWAC) ended a seven-game losing streak on Saturday with a 63-62 win at Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Meanwhile, Mississippi Valley State (0-14, 0-1) saw its lead slip away in a 54-51 loss to Alabama State on Saturday.

Messiah Thompson's jumper as time expired in double overtime lifted Alabama A&M to a 70-68 win over MVSU on Feb. 11, 2023.
 
Dailin Smith added 20 points, including going 7-of-11 from the floor and 6-of-8 from the foul line. Cameron Tucker and Lorenzo Downey finished with 13 and 12 points, respectively as the Bulldogs shot 41.5 percent from the field. 
 
Tyronn Mosley led MVSU with 21 points, while Terry Collins and Alvin Stredic added 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Omari Peek scored 21 points and pulled down a career-best six rebounds, while Lorenzo Downey had a huge block down the stretch and added a career-high 13 rebounds in a 63-62 win at Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
 
The win snapped a seven-game losing streak and gave the Bulldogs their first road win of the season.

Mississippi Valley State had four players in double figures, but could not hold off Alabama State in a 54-51 home loss.
 
Donovan Sanders led the way with 11 points, on 5-of-8 shooting, with three boards. Rayquan Brown, Danny Washington and Arecko Gipson each recorded 10 points. Brown and Gipson each finished with double-doubles, with 11 and 10 boards, respectively.
