THE HILL | After completing its 2024 home slate, the Alabama A&M women's soccer team (4-9-1, 2-2-1 SWAC) are set to travel to Texas to take on both the Texas Southern Tigers (3-7-2, 2-0-1 SWAC) and the Prairie View A&M Panthers (1-8-2, 0-1-2 SWAC) on Friday and Sunday.

The Bulldogs hit the road after a 5-1 victory on senior day against Mississippi Valley State. Senior Jasmine-Perez Acosta paced the match, tallying three shots, each on target. She notched two assists and found the back of the net in the 58th minute. Perez-Acosta's goal was the third in a 10-minute time span, first with freshman Czaske Deane in the 53rd minute, followed by Moriah Watkins, thanks to an assist from Anita Frederick-Sigaran in the 54th minute.

Undeterred by a MVSU goal, Chelsie Charles shot another into the net before Meghane St-Cyr would do the same, both with assists from Perez-Acosta, to solidify the 5-1 win. Perez-Acosta leads the team in shots so far this season, with 39 (26). She is tied with Charles for second most goals (three) this season, following behind Deane.

Texas Southern is continuing its four-game conference home stand after defeating both Jackson State (2-0) and Southern University (2-1) at Durley Stadium. Both matches saw goals from Isabella Dillow, who leads the Tigers in shots with 16, with half on target. AAMU and TSU are fairly even in the all-time series, at 8-8-1.

Prairie View is looking for its first conference win of the season after scoreless ties against Mississippi Valley State and Jackson State and falling 1-0 to Southern University. The Panthers are paced by junior Kamara Bradley and Graduate Mya Sheridan who each have tallied 13 shots this season. AAMU and PVAMU are 7-7-1 in all-time match-ups between the two.

Friday's match is set for 7 pm at the Alexander Durley Stadium and can be live streamed here. First kick for Sunday's match is set for 11 a.m. at the PVAMU Soccer Complex and can be live streamed here.
