CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. | The Alabama A&M volleyball team (3-13, 1-3 SWAC) saw five players with over five digs in their 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-15) loss to the UT Chattanooga Mocs (9-8,0-3 SoCon) on Tuesday evening.
The Bulldogs were paced by senior Saldy Amparo-Smith, who tallied 11 kills, seven digs and one service ace. Following suit was Fatima Ramirez, who led the team in digs at 10, and notched eight kills. Both Grace Tapscott and Laela Price notched 11 assists. Price also recorded two aces.
UTC was led by Breanah Rives, who recorded 13 kills and 13 digs. Paige Gallentine also dug 17 balls.
The Bulldogs return home after 13 road matches to face Southwestern Athletic Conference opponents Jackson State and Mississippi Valley State on Sunday and Monday. The match versus JSU will serve as the Bulldogs' THINK PINK match in support of breast cancer awareness month.
